Tanzania Revenue Authority to collect revenue accrued from tourism

 

FINANCIAL constraints in implementing development projects in the country’s national parks has been contributed by the government’s decision to assign Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) to collect revenue accrued from tourism activities in the parks, the Controller and Auditor General says.

Before FY 2020/21, revenue from tourism was being collected by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) and the Ngorongoiro Conservation Authority Area (NCAA), but beginning July 1 2020, the government instructed TRA to collect the revenue, while pledging to provide needed funds for the national parks budgets. /https://bit.ly/3EsGXY3
